Shelley (Aaralyn Phoenix) Paporlonte

Doula, Owner & Founder of Sacred Mother & Baby Doula Services
Expertise, excellent patient care, and compassion are what I bring to the table as a passionate Prenatal & Postpartum Doula.

My name is Shelley but I prefer to be called Aaralyn and Sacred Mother & Baby Doula Services was established to give pregnant women in the San Diego community the opportunity to be able to have a prenatal and postpartum doula and combat the growing maternal death rate that is prevalent in the U.S. I entered the doula field in 2018 after doing 6 years of patient care as a Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy. I specialized in obstetrics and labor and delivery for 2 1/2 years as a Maternal Infant Unit corpsman assisting midwives, obstetricians, and pediatricians in the care of laboring mothers.

These experiences inspired me to get certified as a Doula so I could continue enhancing and advocating for positive birth experiences. My goal is to enrich the birthing experience for mothers and their partners, leaving them with a impactful and beautiful memory they can cherish. All mothers deserve to have a passionate and knowledgeable prenatal and postpartum doula empowering and supporting them during their pregnancy, labor, and postpartum period.

Samantha Nungaray
Postpartum Doula
My name is Samantha Nungaray. I am mother to a beautiful little boy named Elijah and I’m also in the U.S. Navy. I am postpartum doula who has been working with military and low income families for 2 years. I started this work when I had my son and realized not only babies but mothers need nurturing after giving birth. Everyone is so worried about baby and how they are doing but never what a mother needs.
I use holistic medicine and natural remedies for a quick healing process. As a postpartum doula, I love to see the bond that the family gets to create while I take a load of pressure off of their backs whether it’s cleaning, cooking, laundry or holding baby while mom and dad take a nap.

** I am currently stationed overseas and will return to San Diego in 2021 and assume my postpartum doula services there **
